We miss you "MamawO "
Mamaw O. went to be with our heavenly father on Monday June 29th.
We will love and miss her and she remains in our hearts forever.
Mamaw was 93 years old and an amazing lady. She was the stongest most independant lady I know. Mamaw was still driving from time to time, and we always knew when she was coming up the road... there was always a line of cars behind her. You had to smile!!!!
This beautiful lady taught me allot in the 21 years I knew her. Her strength taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you deal with it and go on, hold your head high and don't let any thing or anyone get you down. The love and respect she showed for her family taught me that there is no better love than the love from your family and to never take any day for granted.
I always felt this unspoken connection between Billy and Mamaw. When Mamaw was in the room Billy's eyes would light up like twinkling stars. Mamaw would always just pat him and smile. One memory I was always hold dear to my heart is the Christmas that mamaw and Billy played ball. Billy was lying in the floor and she rolled a ball to him (without any expectations of a retun pass), Billy swatted the ball with his arm right back to her. The look of pure excitment and amazement on Mamaws face was worth a million bucks. They played ball for for sometime that evening. Chelsea also had an amazing experiance with Mamaw just about a week before she passed away. Chelsea was visiting her at her house one evening when a bad storm came up. Mamaw, Joyce and Chelsea ended up going to the basement with candles. While in the basement ,Mamaw told Chelsea stories of her childhood and the love of her life ( Clarence D. Owens), and what it was like years ago. What a blessed experiance for Chelsea!! Mamaw also called Chelsea a Ninny for being scared of spiders. Chelsea thought that was halarious.
As sad as we are that Mamaw passed away, we also celebrate her amazing "93" years of "life".
