Our little man gave us a great big scare!!! When it rains it pours.....

At 3am on Thursday morning Steve and I were awakened by Billy breathing heavier than I had ever heard. I got up and rushed to his side to find him having a seizure. This was not anything new, he has seizures from time to time, they usually last less than a minute and are over. (He had not had a seizure for atleast a month). I got him up and took him to the living room so that we could sit on the couch and comfort him through it. After a few minutes I got a really sick feeling, for this was not one of his typical seizures. His arms started frailing and he was kicking his legs and of course his eyes were fixed and his head was pulling to the right. Usually his seizures are localized to his face and he pulls to the left. I gave him some medicine to try to stop it. After 30 minutes into it he was getting very pale and blue around his lips. We decided we better go!!! We rushed him to JMH in Abingdon (the closest hospital). After four hours past he finally stopped seizing. He was then transfered via ambulance to Johnson City to the new Childrens Hospital and admitted to the PICU. They ran all kinds of test. The first being an EEG,blood work, urine, and a CT-scan. In the midst of all of this we found he had a pretty bad stomach bleed. So the CT-scan was also done on his abdomen. All of his blood work was elevated he had protein spilled in his urine. His calcium was very low. All of this was due to the Status Seizure. His EEG showed his seizures had stopped and the CT scan didn't show allot because of all of the rods in his back. But they did find a cyst on his right Kidney.
We are now home!!!! He is doing okey. Tonight we found his stomach had started bleeding again.UGGGGGGG!!!!
He is not his self at all. He has a crazy twitch on the left side of his face and his right side lower lip is drooping a little. I hope this is just the recovering part of the seizure. This next week we will be seeing the Gastroenterologist( Roanoke VA.) the Pulmonologist( Johnsoncity TN.) the Neurologist ( Charlotsville VA>) and possibly the urologist( Johnson City TN). Hopefully we will get some answers.
Please Keep Billy in your prayers!!!
